About My Community

This is my community collage.

I live in the heart of two of the most famous neighborhoods in Manhattan, New York City: Chinatown and Little Italy. Both neighborhoods are connected together by Canal Street and run down to East Houston Street by 1st Avenue.

They are both my communities because I interact with people from both everyday. Even though I'm Chinese, I don't live in Chinatown. I actually live in Little Italy, amongst Italians and a handful of Chinese people. I live between the beginning of Little Italy and Chinatown on Mulberry Street. Growing up smack in the middle between two large communities has taught me many wonderful things about what may seem to be like two whole different worlds to outsiders. Hence, this is why I named this blog "Communities Merged."
